California State Parks Foundation
The California State Parks Foundation is the advocacy group for California State Parks. In 2008 we created a monthly podcast for CSPF highlighting a different park in each episode from Angel Island to San Onofre to Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park. This year, to celebrate their 40th anniversary, we’re creating weekly episodes featuring 40 Favorite State Park Trails. Episodes include stories from Sammy Hagar and Huell Howser.
Norton Simon Museum
The Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California showcases the collection of 20th Century business magnate Norton Simon. The collection includes a vast array of work from pieces by Old Masters to Impressionism to Asian art. Our work for the Norton Simon includes a video documentary about the collector, as well as audio and video pieces about the museum’s exhibits.
Bay Area Air Quality Management District
BAAQMD is working to ensure cleaner air for Bay Area Residents. We created an online PSA for them to let residents know about a new law banning wood burning on certain days — the program is called “Spare the Air.”
Bon Appetit Magazine, Conde Nast Publishing
Bon Appetit is one of the leading food publications in the world. LA Podsquad created how-to videos to supplement three dessert recipes in Bon Appetit’s December 2007 issue. We also created an audio piece for Bon Appetit about Rising American Female Chefs.
Travelocity: The Window Seat Podcast
The Window Seat Podcast is Travelocity’s monthly podcast about travel. Each episode features a different destination, like Las Vegas or Hawaii. Listeners find out about the best spots to inspire romance, where to stay with the kids, how to eat like a local, and where learn about a location’s past. Plus, host Amy Ziff offers travel tips.
Eagle Rock Talk
We created this monthly podcast in 2006 to report news about current issues, businesses, and developments in our Northeast Los Angeles neighborhood. We also include historical features, personal narratives, commentaries, restaurant reviews and other features. Currently, Eagle Rock Talk has 500 subscribers and gts 150-300 unique hits a day.
Forum For Urban Design
The Forum For Urban Design convenes leaders in architecture, urban planning, design and development — as well as professionals in government, education and journalism whose work intersects with the built environment — to discuss and debate the defining issues that face our cities. PBS Kids, It’s My Life: Celebrities Say Series
It’s My Life is an online magazine and community for “tweens” (kids between the ages of 9-14). IML deals with issues like divorce, bullies, pet care, money education and everything today’s middle-schoolers face. In this podcast series IML interviews celebrities about what life was like when they were tweens. IML is part of the PBS Kids Go network.
